Terms and Conditions of Membership.
By accepting these terms and conditions of membership you and all linked members agree to abide by the Club Rules laid out in the Club Rules section on our website and in the supplied membership book. These Club Rules form part of your contract with the Club.
You are entitled to enjoy the unlimited use of the club’s venues and facilities during the term of your membership. Whilst we work hard to retain the fishing rights on all our waters certain leases/contracts and agreements occasionally renew throughout an existing membership year therefore it is possible that any venue or part thereof may be withdrawn at short notice. No Refunds will be given in the unlikely event this happens.
We may from time to time need to introduce short term by-laws to control or prevent environmental emergencies, and these may lead to water closures, temporary bait restrictions, etc. Members are reminded to check for any temporary notices at the water that they intend to fish.
Your membership is personal to you and you cannot transfer it to or loan it to another person. You must not lend your membership book to another person. All Membership books must contain an up to date photograph. If another person uses your membership book, we have the right to cancel your membership.
We are a family club and, as such, we welcome junior members. However, junior members have a responsibility to behave reasonably.
Junior members are not permitted to fish during the hours of darkness, unless they are accompanied by a member over the age of eighteen, this member will be responsible for the safety and activities of the Junior member.
We reserve the right to cancel your membership with immediate effect under (but not limited to) the following circumstances:

Verbal or physical abuse, or intimidation of bailiffs or other club officials by you.

Verbal or physical abuse, or intimidation of other members.

Wilful Damage to any club or landowners property or equipment.

Breaking any rule considered as gross misconduct e.g. leaving litter

Repeatedly ignoring or breaking any of the Club Rules.

If, with your knowledge or permission, another person uses your membership book.

If for any other reason we believe that it is not in the Club’s interests to allow the continued membership of you or your linked members.
If we cancel your membership for any of the reasons described above, you will not receive any refund of membership fees. We will also not accept any future applications you make for membership.
Refund Policy
This refund policy complies with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection Regulations that relate to distance selling. The law came into force in the year 2013 and applies to all UK based transactions where the consumer doesn’t meet the vendor. These regulations do not govern contracts between businesses.
Consumer Rights
If you pay for a membership online with Luton Angling Club you have, in accordance with the above law, a 14-day cooling off period – during which you have the right to cancel your membership and receive a refund.
If you do decide to cancel within the 14 days, we will refund your payment within 14 days of receiving your returned book and key.
Refund Conditions
If Luton Angling Club believes that an individual has benefited in any way from being a member of Luton Angling Club; e.g. by making use of the membership, by gaining access to any of our venues or obtaining any other benefits of membership we reserve the right to deduct an amount of money to cover the period of time that you have benefitted from club membership we also reserve the right deduct amounts associated with the processing of your membership such as payment processing fees and the printing and postage costs for the book and key(if cancelled after they are sent out).
How to cancel within Fourteen days of purchase
Should you wish to cancel your membership within the 14-day cooling off period, please e-mail us at membership@lutonanglingclub.co.uk or write to us at the address below.
Your membership book and key must be returned to Luton Angling Club within 14 days of cancellation once we have received the book and key we will issue a refund within 14 days.
